Visit the new War Museum at Meaux. Lunch in Meaux, on to the Champagne town of
Epernay, take a tour of the Champagne House of Castellane, a tasting is included.
O/N at a charming B&B on the Avenue de Champagne, in Epernay, in the former
home of the Moet et Chandon family.
Sunday, 19 June Epernay to Nitry
Depart Epernay & travel towards the Loire Valley.. A stop at the medieval
town of Provins, before continuing on to Nitry to stay at the charming Auberge
de la Beursaudière, be warmly welcomed by Serge, & dine in the historic

A visit to the Cistercian Abbey of Fontenay. Lunch in the village of Flavigny,
where the film "Chocolat" was filmed, or picnic by the canal after visiting
the Grand Forge de Buffon.

Tuesday, 21 June Nitry to Perreux
Depart for the Loire Valley, stopping to picnic and visit the grand Chateau de
Arrive at the newly renovated Chateau de Perreux, our home for the next 2 nights.
DIne at the Chateau, enjoying the food of the Michelin Star Chef Ludovic Laurenty.
Wednesday, 22 June Perreux
Visit the Fortress Chateau of Luynes, then cross the Loire to wander around the
formal gardens of Villandry. On to Amboise to visit the last home of Leonardo
da Vinci, Clos Lucé. Time for a walk through the pretty streets of Amboise
before returning to Chateau de Perreux.
Thursday, 23 June Perreux to St Hilaire Le Chateau
A visit to the beautiful Chateau de Chenonceau before heading south. A stop at
Aubusson to visit the Tapestry Museum before arriving at our home for the next
2 nights, the lovely Chateau de la Chassagne, where our hostess, Marie-Christine,
will serve a meal in the magnificent dining room.
Friday, 24 June St Hilaire Le Chateau
A day in Limoges. A guided visit of the Porcelain Factory of Bernadaud, time to
visit the Cathedral & the Museum of the Resistance, and a wander round the
old city, before returning to Chateau de la Chassagne.
Saturday, 25 June St Hilaire Le Chateau to Le Cheyssignaguet,
La Chapelle Aubareil
Visit the burnt out town of Oradour sur Glane before heading south towards the
Picnic lunch & visit at Chateau Hautefort, with it's magnificent gardens.
Arrive at our home for the next 7 nights, Le Cheyssignaguet, 10 minutes from
Montignac in the Perigord Noir region.
Sunday, 26 June - Saturday, 2 July Le Cheyssignaguet
Time to immerse yourself in the Perigordian lifestyle & enjoy the markets,
vineyards, museums, chateaus, prehistoric caves etc....or relax by the pool!
While at Le Cheyssignaguet, we include the option of one day's cooking class,
including a shopping trip to the local market, followed by a visit to a farm to
choose cheeses, then spend the afternoon learning to cook a real Perigordine
meal to share! We do need at least 4 people who wish to participate before we
can confirm this option.
